Thanks for the heads up. Here is a link to some of the .410 ammo for the SMLE shotgun. I ordered a small case and received it last week. Really neat!!

You are most welcome!! I have to dig mine out and get out to the range.

I received my Greek 303 today and it is very nice. There are a few clips with a little rust and corrosion, but very few!! Hope it shoots well. May have to dig out one of the No 4 Mk 1 Ts and head to the range!!

    Happy shooting!!

I had seven rounds of the 303 surplus I decided to trash due to case corrosion of a couple rounds in one of the boxes. Of the seven I discovered that there were three different bullet types. All weighed between 174 and 174.5. A couple of them had a longer bullet length.

Mine hasn't arrived yet but I was wondering if it might be mixed types in the bulk lots. I'm pretty sure the two bullets on the left are Mk.7 , the five shorter ones are L1A1 ball. Weight is the same as Mk.7 but they don't have the nose filler so they end up a bit shorter. Do you by chance remember the mfg. date of the L1A1 rounds? I have about 400 rounds I've scrounged here there and yonder over the past couple years with either '86 or '89 mfg. dates.

Your correct. A closer look at the brass indicates various the Mk. 7 ammo that was mixed in the one box of ammo that had corrosion problems. Date stamps were various GB dates of 42, 49 and 50. A DAC 44? and a RG 50 along with a HXP 73. I've spot checked the other boxes. So far everything else is the HXP 76 and clean.

    Cleaning

    Dear Enfield Enthusiasts,

As an early Christmas present, I'm looking forward to a shipment of 450 on stripper clips. It says on the Cheaper than Dirt website that it's non-corrosive and boxer primed which leads me to believe that I do not have to go to any unusual lengths to clean up the barrel after shooting. Is this correct?

Will have to take out all five of my Enfields - one No.I Mk.III* (Heavy barrel with Central No. 4 target sight), three No.4 Mk.I (two of them Ts), and one No.5 Mk.I - and have a shoot off with real military ammo. Should provide plenty of good brass, too.

    Feeling very fortunate!
