    Thanks for the all the replies.

    And Inland44, your first response really got me thinking. Although I have been a member here and on Culvers, CMPicon, etc. for several years, I really have not posted much. I could have provided more info in my first post than I did as to what my intentions were with the barreled receivers.

    I was fortunate to find CMP a few months before the carbine frenzy and was able to get most of my carbines through them. The other 4 were purchased at a local gun show here in Denver and at the CMP "for sale" site.

    None of my carbines are "correct as issued" and never will be. I like them the way they are.
