Vintage Weaver K2.5 Scope Info?

I got it in the mail today. Optics are clear. The tube says "Weaver K2.5 / Patented / El Paso Tex USA" in 3 lines. No serial number anywhere. To adjust W & E, for each I assume the screw is loosened, then the knob adjusted by hand to obtain zero, then the screw tightened back down, right?

I'm not 100% sure. Never had one with knobs exactly like that. Closest I have is a Weaver V8, similar but not exact. Is there a ''0'' mark in the adjustment scale atop the knobs? If so I'd think the only time you'd need to loosen the screws is to re-set the knobs to ''0'' after zeroing the rifle, but I could be wrong.
