How to date a Webley revolver

OK, I looked at mine. It has been awhile. On the right side of my frame above the trigger is a Enfield over a crown and 1924 (no month) under the crown. The pistol has a barrel dated '19 on the left side near the rear but, the original (barrel) serial number is lined out and replaced with the frames serial number. So, there are two place that you can look.
My markings are so weak that I doubt I can get a picture of them. I had to use a bright light at an angle to see them myself.

Very odd. The revolver should be marked with one maker and date or the other but NOT both. (That model was made by Enfield post-Great War.) I suspect an Enfield FFR of a Webley made in 1916.

Correct, mine is an Enfield not a Webley. It is a MKVI so, I made the assumption that a Webley manufactured MKVI would be similarly marked. It does appear to be an FTR that has the had the barrel replaced since that has had the original serial number lined through and replaced with the serial number of the frame. It has also been modified to .45 ACP.
