    I can see on your photo of the top of receiver the prick mark on right side rail that's 1.5 inch back from port opening. This prick mark is on many national match rifles I have seen.

    Thanks I assume you mean this mark that I have drawn around in red. These are the kind of details that I would never know without your help....appreciated.

    The right side rail....ok then this is it? The 2nd photo.

    The punch mark that's between the bolt and extractor, not the receiver bulge. I have one on my 1938 production, my friend has one on his 1933 production. I have seen 3 other NM's that were made in the 30's at gun shows that also had the mark. I read some where, maybe this forum that there was at least one other that had the mark and was not a NM rifle, possibly a team rifle?
