    It looks big from here. My guess is it might be a case for an artillery plotting board and sundry items. Again, that is only a guess.

    Added: I just noticed the flapped long slot pocket shown in the photo of the back of the case. That might fit a long slide rule (The pre-electronic, pre-digital, manual, analog calculator - remember them?), or a long plotting rule.

    That could be...I didn't take that into account, size. That makes it look like older too. Not like the stuff I was raised around. So, maybe WW2... If you label them tentatively, someone will come along and tell you for sure.
