NPM carbine help ..
I have a NPM carbine that I would like somebody to look at it to tell me about some parts on it being original or not to carbine, the value of it, and anything good or bad..
I am sorry to have sent you so many pics,
I really appreciate this very much.

I'm not an expert, but it looks pretty good to me. I don't see and glaring red flags, but one of the experts should jump in here.

If I found this one, I'd start to get on the excitement plan. Is there a tiny punch mark on the barrel about halfway down?

Hi, can anybody tell me if there should be a punch mark on the barrel besides the P proof mark, I cannot find in any books about this .the barrel does have a ordnance mark near the end where the barrel goes into the receiver.. Thanks

FWIW: On my '44 NPM ( the one I showed here) I have a punch mark right in the Middle of the Nose of the Stock and the Proof Stamp . The guy I bought it from who bought it from CMP
told me exactly that the punch mark was proof that the Barrel was originated for NPM. It's halfway down between the Proof Mark (P) and the nose of the Stock. I also thought it was a harden test punch mark just like the one before the Dovetail starts to curve up behind the bolt. I still been looking for that information.

The punch mark on the receiver isn't a hardness test mark.
