    Gloss deep bronze green was the norm during the post war, early 50's up until the drab camouflage matt khaki of the late 70's onwards. My brother has a 1945 Bedford QL that is painted up in 1950's BAOR colours - gloss deep bronze green, as are the jerry-cans - and very nice too.
