    I have seen No4's in tan paint but never Australianicon in fact I do not remember ever seeing a No4 with any markings related to Australian use, South African would be my first guess as they painted a lot of stuff sand colored.

    I believe they made their own #1 Mk3's until about 1950...so that sounds correct...
