Thanks Mariness. The capture paper unfortunately not SN'd to the rifle. Just states Jap rifle with bayonet. Not sure if bayo ground. It actually looks unissued out of the scabbard. I believe those marks on the edge are from moving it in and out of the scabbard. No serial number. My pics were phone pics at the LGS so not the best. I found it unusual the scabbard tip has no ball. I read a story today about the factory where they where built. Very interesting info about their labor force and methods. Was your price estimate including the bayo/sheath?

Would you know anything about Japaneseicon short swords? She has one of those to with capture paper. Looks like a short sword. Did not get pics on that one. I plan on doing a follow up with her in next couple days.
