    Do you mean a garand trigger assembly or an M14icon assembly? A "smith" of
    the shade tree variety did this conversion and used a complete M1 assembly
    and altered it to accept m14 mags including the mag catch, etc. I have an
    extra M1 trigger housing, but would rather just weld the part back onto the
    guard. This is my 2nd tanker garand in 308, but it is by far the spookiest in
    the way it was converted. Can this weld be done? What is the technique
    called? Thanks
