Can someone, please, tell me what is the problem with flash hiders; it's only a funnel on the end of the barrel? Here in the U.K., with deactivated weapons they have to be pinned to the barrel and the pin welded in place.

It's a politics thing simply put, a misunderstanding of the technology of firearms function by the lawmakers.
