Hi, this site looks promising.... I've just purchased a Parker-Hale T4 in 7.62mm from the members stall of my local Gun club in order to fill an FAC line entry and would like to know if it is an Enforcer, L39A1 or Envoy model.
The normal model numbers have been ground off from the left side of the receiver, but the bolt still has an arrow on it (ser '336') and the frame butt strap stamped with '339'.
It has been fitted with an ARMALON scope rail and the foresight is missing. Came with a 1965 issue 7.62 magazine, similar to a 303 but with different lips, ramp and follower.
Reminds me of my old Air Cadet days with the 303
Any info would be appreciated

The P-H T4 was generally put together de novo by P-H using readily available No4 rifle bodies, rather than converted from L39's, Enforcers & so on, but anything's possible with Enfields. Could you manage to post any photo's as you'll no doubt then get a wealth of informed comment about it.
I'm just down the road from you, by the way, in Sutton. Welcome to the forum.

Any information on an Enforcer serial number 024? Scope is mismatched unfortunately serial number 74302 to rifle number 393.
Thanks!

Any surveys on the NO4T rifles on this forum?

Unfortunately there is no known record of 4T serial numbers.

I should clarify my post--rifle is 024, scope serial number as best I can tell is 74302 with the extra number 393 which I am assuming would have been for rifle 393, but there are a number of things I don't know about these rifles. Did they all come with a bipod?

rbiron - Several people, including myself, keep track of any No. 4 (T) rifles, scopes etc. that they come across. Some have special narrow fields e.g. Canadian
made whereas I study all of them including the L42A1 conversions. I have over 1,000 No. 4 (T) in my database, though not all survive. Sometimes just one (or more) serial numbered component(s) is (are) known (rifle, scope, bracket, scope case, chest). Feel free to contact me as I look forward to adding more as every bit of info adds to the knowledge base and one never knows what piece of the puzzle will fall into place. Using the database I have found mates to four of my scopes or rifles. :-) I enjoy helping others to find matches too as so many rifles were mismatched when sold surplus in North America. My web site has some info on No. 4 (T) equipment with more to be added. contact info. http://www.captainstevens.com

Sorry rbiron, I misread your question & thought you meant are there any surviving lists of all rifles converted to 4T's - of course there aren't, but there are excellent data bases that contain details of some of the surviving rifles & scopes, as Colin very ably describes.
