Short K98 Stock?
I don't know if it's just the way it's been photographed or whether this K98
stock is actually shorter than the normal length?

Flying10UK, I measured my DOT 1944 stock-- It is 39 3/4 inches. (from tip of bayonet lug to the butt end (just like your picture shows). Salt Flat

Looks like a bit of a fish eye pic.

I came across the picture online and it just looked a bit odd and so I compared it to a similar stock that I have. The one in the picture does look shorter when compared to the example that I have, especially in the centre area of the fore-end, but it may just be the picture.

Maybe just a cheaper lens, a cheaper phone pic...

Numrich has some short Kar98k
stocks. Mauser 98K Yugoslavian Conversion Stock
Original German 98K laminated stock converted by the Yugoslavian military. The stock tip has been shortened by 1/2". This stock uses handguard #878170 and standard 98K front and lower bands with 3-5/8" band spring.
Could be one of these. Maybe?
