Hope we get the tail end of this when he goes to the range.

Just be careful with how much you fiddle with you may find if something does go wrong then it may void the warranty of the weapon. Like it has been said in Post #6 CMP
do a good job with their builds

Out of the box, shoots great. Letterkenny rebuild, 1964 LEAD. Never adjusted sights and I hit steel gong at 100 yds with first shot
. Action is smooth and clip loads perfectly--even latches quickly without much effort from right hand. The only think I am trying to figure out now is how to use the sight adjustments. I am not sure what the conversions are for the elevation wheel and with windage the effects of that.

I went to the range with a friend's M1
it would not load as well, we found out the follower was installed backwards.
On You Tube Brownells has a 4 part video on the M1 I hope this may help. Patrick

You simply MUST read the entire thread before answering. You'll see he's now showing us that not only is his problem solved but the rifle was flawless...

So like we suggested, live ammo made the difference.

I think you can find the whole description in the stickies at the beginning of this forum...

glad you figured it out. As you have seen loading less than 8 rounds in a clip doesn't work as expected. Although it can be done.
The M1
is pretty funny....it doesn't seem to want to work unless your actually at the range and shooting it...
