    Strip it down and inspect thoroughly. I have heard and seen photos of a local report of the same rifle type being sold at shows local to me with partially de-milled barrels. A hole being bored through from the the top obscured by the handgaurd. same exact description from the buyer. Maybe a one off in that case but you never know.

    No such hole in mine, I've had it apart twice now looking for various things. But it wouldn't be the first time I've heard of such de-milling operation.

    demilled barrel

    In reading this thread, I bought that the barrel was demillled with 4 holes under the rear sight. Sometimes you can't be too careful.
