To me a "forced matched" part is a part renumbered to match but done in a way that could have been done by anyone & the original number has been forcefully removed & the new number stamped over the grinding



Renumbering is where the original number remains but cancelled out & the new number stamped nearby



Replaced & numbered to match, is a replacement new part numbered to match which take experience to identify & to the newbie would appear original as this example on a 1917 BSA with a EFD bolt that went though a refurb at Enfield



Some of you guys might not like the term but its a good reference for describing originality of parts to someone who is on the same page, it is simple & saves a lot of time discribing things
