    Why would you under value it because of the half cock being broken? The collector who is going to buy this rifle is someone who is looking to fill a hole in his collection. It looks like a rather early unmolested Whitney, that's what they are looking for. Of course this one is still more valuable than the '42. Is the rifle still in .54 calibre? Lots of them were bored out to .58.

    I agree completely. Price it up where it should be and it WILL sell. I promise. Just wait a minute, yes, disclose but don't let someone beat you up over it. It will sell.
