Boonie Stomper. old guy now a newbie.
Born/ raised where a lot of WW 2 (Pacific) occurred. In high school, instead of sports & girls, I spent after-school hours (with a few other nerds) in the mountains & jungles around my school. We called it "Boonie Stomping"--looking for & collecting US & Japanese
relics. My fellow nerds eventually grew up, but I guess that I never did. I now have my own museum of militaria from about 1873 to the present sandbox "war".
I have learned so much from reading this forum & it is a privilege to "officially" join and "talk" with others who possess much more knowledge than I.

Greetings from Ohio
Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. Just joined the forum looking to find out more information on a Last Ditch model 99 that I picked up last summer. I have been around guns for most of my life it seems but have never done much with surplus military arms. Currently I have this and a IH M1
Garand. Look forward to learning more about this wonderful hobby of ours.

Hi all, I'm a retired firefighter with a passion for history (mainly ww1) I spend most of my time in northern France cycling and walking the battlefields. Learning French
the hard way but also finding unique snippets of history from the local older generation, both first and second world war. I have just been asked by a farmer who found a Lee Enfield with markings if I can locate its history. Will post with pictures asap.
P.s.
If any interest in visits to the western front or research etc. please pm me.
Many thanks all, in anticipation,
David.
