M1917 / P14 magazine depressors

Just be careful if you use it for a single shot adapter. These rifles were made to pick up the rim out of the magazine. I was told by two different people that snapping the extractor over the rim in the chamber may lead to damage. The extractors are getting hard to find so I stopped using mine for SSA. They were made for present arms drill and dry fire. I have one for my M1917 and when I find it I will report on the manufacturer.

Hi Dave, thanks for the heads up.

Its not something i'm too worried about on this particular rifle as it was converted to a target rifle back in the 70's (do conversions by Fultons count as bubbered?)
The magazine box is gone, the bolt hold open was re-profiled as was the extractor so it will slip over the rim of hand fed cartridges, i was thinking about the depressor just to make it all smoother.
