At least in the US I seem to mostly find those with the leather case, like my pair was. The bakelite case is super cool, but no idea of value. My pair and I believe most sets I encounter have the area above the "6x30" scratched off. I seem to recall my examples having "dienstglas" marked elsewhere, or maybe mine didn't have what was above it as vigorously removed, I'll try and locate pictures. If the optics are clear they are still perfectly good binoculars, I still have a post war set made by Zeiss Jena to similar spec that are my beaters.

There is a militaria fair that I go to a couple of times a year in the U.K. and a German dealer always comes over with a large amount of interesting German WW2 kit, including binoculars. The trouble is none of his stuff has a price marked on it, so you have to ask the price, and I know from asking the price of items previously, that whatever the item is, it is going to be expensive and out of my budget. The funny thing is, I've never noticed him sell much to anyone else either.

At the Birmingham International there is a dealer who deals in just German
stuff, in the last 10 years I don't think his stock has had any considerable changes........
