    It is Real, but beyond repair so why don't you drop it in the mail and send it my way and I can dispose of it Correctly...J/K !
    I came across one I bought off this guy at the Range Club over a year ago and if you use a Reamer and you use a Correct USGI Screw it will not tighten Correctly at least that's what happened to the one I did, but I did find this and bought it and used it and to this day it has held up pretty good with a Original USGI Screw. I used a USGI Screw to make it look correct. Give this a Look and it's a Really good fix. Its works on Wood, Metal, Aluminum and even Plastic. There's even a YouTube video you can search for and look at it.
