I primarily posted to share mutual interest and get the community's take on the manufacturer, but momma didn't raise no fool.

Bula Forge and Machine manufactures the M14 receiver...I've read that JRA used either repurposed Garand receivers or new cast receivers (? still trying to track down info)....not sure how much of a correlation there is.
