    Where did you order the tap from? britishfastners.com has the 1/4 26 for $7.26.

    They are located in New York.

    Being a onetime, low impact use tool I searched the cheapest option, anything out of the states was too expensive in shipping so I ordered one off eBay with free shipping.
    Turns out the cost is in the wait...

    Ya 26 tpi, surprisingly hard to find in Canadaicon.
