Any negative effects of storing a paratrooper carbine in the jump bag in the safe?

I store all mine in the safe in silicone gun socks. Every 6 months I wipe them down with Ballistol. I have an RV dehumidifier in the safe also.

How does Ballistol affect vintage original finish wood like on the M1 Carbine? I have a can of it and read raves about how it is a great overall product. I'm a bit nervous about anything other than linseed oil on my 70+ year old carbine stock though.
