Out of interest, what's the thread system on the Matchless? BS-Whitworth? The Centurion is/was the worst offender. BSW and BSF and then then UNC and UNF........ except when it wasn't convenient! Radios and instruments, yep...... BA! Agricultural dealers are a good source of nuts, bolts etc as they still cater for some old stuff on the farms

BSF and the cycle thread BSC/BSCy (60 degree thread angle) mine going throughout service life has had a few changes here and there, UNC and UNF and a few metric thrown in for good luck.
On the subject of threads I'm just looking at suppliers of imperial threaded bar in stainless to make my own crancase bolts etc.
