British Pattern 1914 with modified muzzle threads
The last of the experimental rifles. This one has a threaded muzzle for some sort of muzzle attachment.

I wonder if that one is a suppressor...

That rifle looks darn right svelte with that barrel length.
Might be a fun project for the next chopped down 1917 I run across.

Do I see it correctly that the rifle is shortened too?

Undoubtedly.

Is the thread 1/2" UNF? If so, that could be for a supressor, as that is/was the standard British
thread for that use.

I have not measured it. Thread form would have been what ever was common for 1920 to 1930's. I have assumed shortened rifle was made up by Soley for some reason.

The barrel diameter of a P14 at that point is about .600" so 1/2" threads seems about right. However, the length of the threaded section is seemingly about the same as the diameter or 1/2". So, with seven threads showing, that makes either 1/2-13 NC or 1/2-14 NPT. A little more coarse than 20TPI. And yes, I have way too much spare time today. Tom

Half inch pipe thread is much larger than 1/2” diameter. Something more in the neighborhood of .80”.
I’d go with 1/2-13 or else some other weird thread from the day.
