    Thanks

I appreciate all the insight. I think I will go for the Springfield Mil Spec. One more question though, is the Parkerized finish ok or is the Stainless alittle better? Going to start looking today. I'll have to check out the VFW down here for the range, thanks Badabing! I work on the Air Station in Jville.

My son is at New River. He's an echo 5 with a training squadron for the Osprey. He used to be with HMM 365 (46's). Mine was parkerized. Stainless wasn't offered back when I bought it. I had only one stainless 45 in my life, a Randall. It gave me feeding problems even with military hardball. I traded it off. I think Parkerized if more authentic but stainless is rust and corrosion resistant. However, that should be a problem with a Marine who knows how to take care of his weapon.
