If you have 2 or 20, We're Interested in seeing how you display them.
I'll start out showing how a good friend Displays some of his Carbines.
In this first picture he'd removed some of the Carbines to show me some of the detail on the stand he had made. It sits on small caster wheels so he can roll it around. One of the back cabinets was once some type of antique china cabinet he adapted in to a display case.
He 'Volunteered' back in the (IIRC) late 70's and 80's at the CMP South Store. So he had the chance to hand pick a few of his Carbines.

There was no CMP south store in the 70's or 80's but nice display especially the rolling rack.

After losing 13 guns in a break-in back in 2004 I am too scared to have my carbines displayed, just too many meth head low life bastards here in rural MO. My carbines are for my eyes only.

Read his email again...... I've crossed up his dates, he volunteered @ South store mid 90's to early 2000's.
Was doing his firefighter thing in the 70's - 80's.

I had a burglary back in 2007 as well. I only lost two carbines, a Rock-Ola and a Winchester. But also a Colt 1911, from a wall display. Insurance paid off the claim of $4,200 but money doesn't replace something that is hard to find.
I keep mine in three safes now. But they go out for a gun show display once in a while.

Grandma always said locks only keep the honest people honest.
I say you can't break into a safe you can't find.
And there is a Carbine in there too

That we have to fear those that will break in.
I'd rather be out numbered but able to face those that would steal from me or from anyone for that matter.
In my opinion there is no lower scum on this earth than one that would steal from people... period.

I make every effort not to mention how many arms I own, no matter the type.
But do display 14 Carbines at a time on a rack I built. As the picture will show there are times I pull a carbine or two and other rifles that were recently used or needing a cleaning will take their spots.

I've 'Gathered' arms since I became a 5 year old. After turning 5 my brother and I would get a rifle or shotgun for Christmas every year from our Father. All types, shooters we could use when out with him or collector commemoratives that we were told to never shoot.
As I grew up my lawn mowing and snow shoveling earnings went toward fishing gear and guns that I'd pick up from my Fathers trading buddies at the Flea markets and small auctions on Friday nights. My Father is gone now but I keep his arms cleaned and oiled like he'd expect them to be.... Like he taught us to do.
Got both Grandpa's gun collections, 4 Uncles, my FIL's and even arms passed on from the wives of good friends that passed away. To many it would sound out of control, but I know the story behind most every arm I own. Remember the wheeling and dealing, along with some really comical characters along the way. Most have at least 1 story behind it that I can remember. But those memories I keep to myself, those are mine that I pray I'll always be able to remember. You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? Well when I look at any single arm here..... It tells a story, a story with memories and the faces of family and friends.
It is for this reason I would have no pity for anyone who would try to take from me.

Yes it is,......... 1,030,621 That's the one I tried to document here as I tore it down to show markings and wear patterns, as I went along I cleaned it, then posted after cleaning pictures.

The 2nd from left was my Fathers WRA brought home with the help of an Aussie friend from his 2 tours in the Philippines..... 5,573,xxx Low wood, Rear Flip. T2 barrel band.
3rd from left also a WRA.... 5,811,xxx in a long barrel channel WRA stock... T2 barrel band and Type II H in shield rear sight.
