    Hard to say without it in hand but your bolt looks to be chromed. I bought a box of M1917 bolts years ago. Several of them were hard chromed. I still have one of them in the parts box. Stocks are out there but the prices have sure gone up. Did it head space. If so you should have a shooter. Chasing down the parts is half the fun.
