Actually, that was just a joke I heard from an old jumpmaster. They would drop the downstairs sticks first then move the upstairs jumpers down and drop them in other passes.

Or guys would be going with only half connected static lines...not locked...and a mass of other problems. Still, yes a comfortable ride. Until the guy that was drinking the night before lets it get to him...
