It wouldn’t be hard to do. But a Mk5 Sterling in .45 ACP seems better and even easier to do.

I’ve never really understood why Sterling didn’t go with .45 ACP for the Mk5. The Britishicon army had Thompsons in WW2. Ammo wasn’t an issue. It’s subsonic. Worked great in the De Lisle. Almost twice the bullet weight. That’s a lot more wallop for a round that’s moving at the same speed.

A copy of the Mk7 Sterling was made by P.A.W.S. in .45 ACP. It uses M3 mags.
Vincent wished it could be SA but due to our laws only straight pull........ any pics or other info on Mk7 copy? I think it would be hard to beat the Sterling 9mm mag.

I will take some pics and post them here.

I think the only thing better than the Sterling 9mm mag would be a .45 ACP Sterling mag. It's a shame Sterling didn't make any. The Britishicon had plenty of Thompson mags after WW2 and they're not bad.
