    This is a sporter rifle. You are likely looking at a real Sedgley Sporter. Sedgley commonly removed the serial number to hide the fact that is a "low-number" Springfield. A true Sedgley Sporter has collector value and must not be destroyed. Most competent '03 Collectors will spot the real McCoy and try to buy it on the cheap. Be aware of what you have there. Do not destroy it.
