German Model 71 Mauser in 6.5mm caliber ?

It is a French conversion of the M-71 to the 6.5mm Daudeteau cartridge . Done as a private sales by Dovitiis to small countries . Some went to Uruguay .

Bob thanks for the help. Any idea what is different besides the cartridge? This rifle is missing the bands and cleaning rod so I'll need to find them.

Some owners of these Mausers converted to use the 6.5 Daudeteau cartridge do reload, some use 7,62x54R or 45-70 brass. There is also a carbine too

Interesting, so if one can use 7,62x54R can a 6.5x54mm Mannlicher Schoenauer reloading die be used, knowing that I would have to compensate for the rim? Unless someone has cartridges for sale I can buy. He would like to try shooting the rifle.
