I believe some of the 7,92x33 was loaded by East Germany during the iron curtain years, doubt much of the German WW2 ammo is still reliable

Yep, 7.92 Kurz ammo continued to be made in GDR up to 1961.

Pressumably ammo made in Yugoslavia as well, as the MP44 was retained in use by one of the Yugoslavian Para units right up in the early 1980's.....as seen here.



I think a lot of the guns and ammo that ended up in Syria in the late 80's early 90's was the cache of guns and ammo stocks from Yugoslavia after they finally retired them from service??
