they are an interesting thing. Considering the number of enfields I see on auction sites that need how do they say, a new barrel.

It would be nice to find one of my own. And the standard .410 shotgun has a rather thin barrel. And theres a few youtube videos of guys shooting surplus .303 ammo in standard .410 single shot shotguns... that the safety issue may perhaps not be an issue...

There IS a company that was playing with 300 grain cast bullets for 3" .410. Standard pressure same as your favorite Remington slug.. But haven't seen that company in years.
