    I think that is a commercial adapter made and sold for the US home builder market and not a military modification by a particular nation.

    Yes indeed, so that makes me wonder who or what nation is behind the T&E Bren modification (the top mount is adapted) in the orgininal picture in this thread. As I said I have exactly the same one, also with missing front pintle... must be a design behind this..... still puzzling me, cant find any documentation yet....
