Sounds like a Lithgow barrel.

I would need to consult my book, but I think Lithgow started by chroming the chamber and shifted to chroming chamber and bore in the late 1960's.

I don't think the British and Canadians chromed barrels, but I stand ready to be corrected.

If the gas block lacks any marking, then it's Lithgow.

Canadian c1/c2 barrels were chrome bore and chamber from day 1.

c1 gas blocks have no markings...

British L1 barrels were chrome lined from an early point...
