My wife and daughter surprised me with an early fathers day gift. I believe it is a Springfield 1903 Mark I. The barrel is marked SA 2-19 and I believe it is original to the receiver. It looks to have been overhauled at least twice, on the left side is a stamp R-AP on the left side is OGEK. I am not sure but the bolt has an "R" stamp on the swept back bolt handle. Can you look over the photo's and let me know what you think? Any information would be helpful as this is my first 1903.

Except for the arsenal re-inspection stamps, you appear to have a nice, mostly-original Mark I rifle. The only thing I see wrong with it is a replacement Remington bolt. Everything else I can see appears correct. Your wife and daughter did well.
Hcompton79,
I had no idea that the rife had the sear, trigger, and cutoff for the Petersen device. The rifle was purchased for $750, what do you think?
$750 would be a good price for a standard 1903 rifle with original barrel in my neck of the woods. I am no expert, but I think you did real well for a Mark I with original parts.
BAR, You are of course right, it should be Pedersen but my phone automatically corrects spelling for words it thinks are incorrect. Pedersen corrects to Petersen (but interestingly not Peterson) unless you manually override it which I forgot to do.
