    No.4(T) pewter 1/4 scale model

Anyone seen one of these before? Purchased mine about ten years ago but can't trace the manufacturer now. Any info on the manufacturer would be gratefully received - I might try and organise a group deal if there is enough interest. The detail is spot on with its No.32 Mk3 scope.

    Nigel,

I remember those being available a few years back and a couple of them have passed through my hands, wish I'd kept one now.

I seem to recall the compay that sold them was called "Present Arms" though what ever happened to them I don't know. If you do locate them put me down for one.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

Nigel, If you do find the manufacturer I would be very interested .
The last address I had for the firm was
    Present Arms
    Military Miniatures
    5 Holmfrith Close
    Belmont, Hereford
    HR2 7UG
    tel. 0432-276510

No doubt they have moved, but possibly they could be traced by the firm's name, unless they have closed shop.

Years ago when I visited the U.K. I bought a number of their models.
    Stens, (Mk2 and Mk5)
    Lancaster,
    Bren
    Martini-Henry
    GPMG
    No4
    SA80 and the L86A1
And last of all a Vickers. (only five made and I have No5)
They had a SMLE in the works
I had written to them years ago but got no reply It's got to be the same firm as the wood base and supports for the rifle are identical to the ones I have.

I really would want to pick up a SMLE and their No4Mk1T

The bloke who made the originals, from which the models were made was David Lines, a civilian Armourer from 27 Command Workshops. He gave me the original brass SA80 he used for the SA80 model.

I think that the company has long gone.............................

Really a shame they aren't around anymore. Given the current number of collectors, they could have sold lots of the models.

Almost forgot, I also bought a SLR and a Lewis gun. Ran out of pound notes and finaly had to exchange green money for the stuff.

I just found the box my SA80 model came in. The address, which may be too old is:

    Hampshire Armoury Ltd.
    P O Box 138
    Aldershot, Hants
    GU11 1JF

I am getting old--I can't remember the date--it was with Skennertonicon and we visited Woolwich and Peter's place.

Tried to get their number and they do not exist anylonger. The residents at this address are something to do with 'spoons'.
    Sorry !!!!

    Current retailer is :

    Try The UBIQUE COLLECTION

They are a lot more expensive than when I purchased mine but they have SMLE, Bren, STEN, SLR, L85A2, etc.

Strange how they class the SA80 as a 'paperweight' I know one member of this forum who would probably agree with them (John ?)
