    I presume you gunsmith will be getting it Proof tested (21 tonnes, I think, in lieu of the 18.5 tonnes for 303)

    My local (Lincolnshire) Gun-Shops seem to regularly have MEN 7.62 (Germanicon NATO stuff) in stock and it shoots well in my L42.

    Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
