M2 in Slow Mo

There was a couple of things I saw not so much in the extraction pattern except at times the first out went forward, I did detect what appeared to be sorta a slam fire like a double tap hard to tell, in the last lot the last live round pops out you can see the projie! I am far from a semi auto expert if at all others may see the correct issues

For some reason the last (2) rounds in the magazine popped up together. When the bolt went forward, it chambered the upper round and it fired - then as the bolt went back, the unfired round popped out as the bolt stopped against the mag's "hold open follower." Why did it happen? Maybe a problem with the mag lips or spring? - Bob

Looks to me like the mag lips need a little tweaking. That can happen firing semi too if the lip doesn't catch the last round properly. Has to do with a slight bend up in the lip and a slightly weak spring. I used to have a registered M2 carbine. Had a couple mags that did that until I replaced the springs and bent the right lip down a tiny bit.

I guess you meant 'auto-loading' because the M2 is select-fire. Otherwise one would have to think you are confused by the terms semi-auto and auto.
The carbine struck me as typical of today's carbines, being many decades separated from competent armorers, struggling to run through numerous problems. He was also getting a lot of mag movement - I didn't see if he has the special mag catch for the 30-rounder in it or not. The gun may have been dirty but I detected what may be a weak recoil spring. But basically it was functional except of course for that inertia feed at the end. Probably a dirty magazine and/or weak mag spring. Or it could be a clean mag that's been oiled - who knows? You would have to get hands-on to tell.

Apparently when the 30rd mag first appeared, they were shearing off the nibs on the back when firing...so they added one.
