    Should be black...hard rubber I think. Wonder if there was a change to the belly of the stock and re-fit of the buttplate. Clear side pic of the butt might help to show the shape.

    I wouldn't want to bet on a repro hanguard either for fit. You might get one for time being and keep looking for an original. You can always sell the copy later. Just don't alter the gun to fit the repro...
