Just discovered that apparently Stemple did some Bren builds!?

One is on the popular auction site GB. Looks pretty nice. On par with Historic and Project Gun. Probably not quite as nice as a SMG.

Add Stemple to the builders list.

Word is that he built one. Was not a production series. Also, word is it runs well. Went from owner; who passed, to his brother; who sold and to friend, who knew both.

My MKI and MKII were kits that I sent to Sean Prasky at Prasky Gunworks.

After three years they turned up at my mail-service.

The MKII fired seven rounds and then started to separate the brass, then stopped firing.
The MKI could not even fire a round, didn't dent the primer.

I was tired of waiting on Prasky and the sub-par communication was old.

I sent both guns to Jim Kelly at Ice House Manufacturing in NY.

He answers emails and phone calls, and kept me up to date. He wasn't condescending or rude about the last boiler, just took the projects on in a business like way.

Nine months, or so, later they came back.

He had done a lot of really fine machine work to the strikers, completely replacing most of the parts, springs etc.,

The guns work-well with the right ammo, and are as reliable they should be.
It's an open bolt Machinegun that has been converted to a striker fired semi-automatic.
It's a long way from the reliable old workhorse I learned on as an Army Cadet, lol.
But, they're a LOT of fun to blast.
I have some video of them shooting on my IG I have no idea how to upload here.

That's the part folks have to grasp, and like when we had to do conversions of FA here to SA there were equal problems, depending on the firearm.
