Rifle X32136 was part of batch number 16 which consisted of 30 rifles and was completed on 07th July 1971. On completion it was shipped to store at Donnington.
Rifle V34685 was part of batch number 18 which consisted of 40 rifles and was completed on 04th August 1971. On completion it was shipped to store at Donnington.

Cheers and thanks for the offer. Two L42A1's, purchased in the Navy Arms lot from an Atlanta GA dealer who received 5 of the rifles around 1994 if I remember correctly maybe early '95. No dust cover loop on either, one with a long forward action screw/swivel and one with a short, both swivels are of a different shape on the body.
Rifle one: Serial number X32136 the scope case strap is marked L/Cpl Pxxxxxx 1 Para B Coy marked with a 2 on the stock, on the scope case and on transit chest
Rifle two: Serial number V34685 has a tag in the scope case marked
"36 District Workshop REME"
"Passed Range Test"
"Date 31-01-90"

Rifle E34262 was part of batch number 35 which consisted of 9 rifles and was completed on the 19th October 1971. On completion it was shipped to store at Donnington.
Rifle E39440 was part of batch number 76 which consisted of 6 rifles and was completed on the 12th July 1979. On completion it was shipped to store at Donnington.
