Last poll I saw here, 25% admit to buying more than they usually would. That of course is enough to upset the toilet paper supply chain. I'm still not sure what connection toilet paper has to Coronavirus, unless one plans to use it instead of paper handkerchiefs? Perhaps the satisfaction and sense of security one gets from having am extra case or two the stuff on hand is reason enough?![]()
Probably those who are driving half an hour to get to Costco and reportedly lining up an hour before the place opens, haven't realized they can buy all the ---wipe they could ever want at their nearest janitorial supply company. To say nothing of disinfectants.
Reference the bidet comment above, all jokes aside, one might wonder how many tons of fecal matter are smeared over first world backsides on an annual basis which might be better sent down the sewers with the rest? More than one e-coli infection can be traced to that source I'm told. Besides, most of us don't use our left hands at the dinner table anyway.![]()
And for those of a conspiratorial bent.
