I just disassembled my 1916 MKIII Ross and I noticed a greenish/yellow coating under the wood. What is it? It comes off with a bronze brush and
CLP. The bluing underneath looks great. Should I leave it?

This one was probably in India, The greenish/yellow paint was applied to prevent rust.

Your E-10 barrel is likely 22". Measure it using a cleaning rod down the bore with the bolt closed.

Which of the MkIIIs is drilled and tapped?

the E-10 was tapped, as is the MKIII conversion which has a cut down barrel and a cheap scope. All the rest are good.
