Also, I'm looking for a correct Smith Corona bolt for this rifle, not that there is anything wrong with he Remington bolt assembly, but I am kind of anal and would like to have the rifle correct. Would an unmarked bolt, or one with the "X" on the root of the bolt handle be correct for this early a SC?

I can help with the firing pin and sleeve, but I don't have a SC bolt body.

All mid and later production Smith-Corona bolts were marked with an "X" atop the handle. Early production bolts were not. Your rifle falls in the transition serial range, so either bolt could be considered correct.

    Good Luck! And stay safe!
