This makes me recall the great Yuma toad hunt back when I was young and stupid . One of my friend's farm over on the California side of the Rio Colorado ( but still in Arizona ) got overrun by 1,000s of toads . Poor guy could not get any sleep due to the nightly ruckus . About 20 of us went over there one night and split into 2 to 3 man teams and separated out all over his farm . Several hours and cases upon cases of ammo later there was nary a croak to be heard . A 12 ga fired from a couple of feet / yards is VERY effective . We couldn't recover enough to get a body count . They never returned .
I still marvel that not a single LE from any organization showed up .
