    Yes, it's the emblem of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. DR over a winged wheel (not a wreath)

    See Wacker & Görtz "Handbuch Deutscher Waffenstempel", P310, bottom row, center, on a Walther M/4 pistol.

    Martin, I have an EWB marked 98 as well. It is a transitional model. Not as pretty as yours, but it started life in 1901, so a bit more mileage perhaps. Must have some stories to tell.
